EZ Edger not only folds the tape but also bends up the folded edge slightly.   This is looking at the bottom of EZ Edged tape.  You can apply the tape directly from the dispenser or just cut the tape to a desired length.

Place the tape on an edge to be painted.  Then, run your finger underneath the folded edge and lift up the edge about 45 degrees.  This will allow nice amount of overspray to get under the tape and leave a smooth blended edge.   You can bend the tape at an angle or follow a curve.  Just experiment with different ways you can apply EZ Edged tape.  Once the tape is down, cover the non-painting area with masking paper.

EZ Edgers are typically attached to a tape cart.  Notice this user has raised the "B" (bend) roller in order to keep the masking tape down closer to the surface.   Hood jamb taped on both sides.

EZ Edger provides simple economical method for obtaining great blended finish using ordinary 3/4" (19mm) tape.  No other tools are required.  Just use EZ Edger tape to mask off an edge then apply masking paper on top of it.

Spray paint normally.  After the paint dry, see if you can tell where you just painted.
